Ceramic Gachapon Workshop

Ceramic Gachapon Workshop

Let’s make a gachapon together!

A gachapon (ガチャポン) is a Japanese term for a small, playful toy purchased through a vending machine.

During the workshop you will be surrounded by gachapon and other playful objects I have collected to help inspire an idea of your own.

There will also be idea prompts to get you thinking. I will teach the basics of ceramics to make your idea into a 3D object.

You will then decorate your gachapon with coloured glazes to your taste.

Once glazed and fired, your piece will be posted to you in a presentation box with a risograph insert including all the gachapon from your workshop’s group, both illustrated by Amy Victoria Marsh.

Refreshments, use of tools and UK postage are included in the price.

6 places per workshop.

Location: The Engine House, Islington Mill, 1 James Street, Salford, Greater Manchester, M3 5HW

Workshop pieces are fired with 7 Spot Pottery.
